Salt Deformation and Salt Cavern Analysis

As oil and gas exploration wells drill deeper around the world, and with improvements in seismic imaging, drilling through salt and beneath salt is increasing. Drilling through salt alters the stresses in the near well region and induces long-term creep. Producing formations adjacent or beneath salt alter stresses over a larger area and can induce salt formation deformations.
